1968 BSA
This is another one I should have never sold....Super NICE...Clean bike. This bike was purchased a few years back from what I think was a crackhead. I saw this thing on Craigslist and immediately called. The guy was asking 1800. firm. So being the peddler I am I called and gave him my ole collage boy spcheel and told him I had only 1200. He instanly hung up. Sooo I called right back and casually said um I think we must have gotten disconnected?? He said NO!!! This was at 11:00 A.M. I told him to take my number down and call me if anything changes. He said to go try and round up more money from my mother or go sell some newspapers or something. So the rest of the day goes by and at 2:30 A.m. the following morning I get a call from this guy saying if I can be there in an hour I can have it for the 1200.....?? I said hey you know its2:30 A.M.? He said no its not its the afternoon... Sooo I said yeah...um sure thing. I will be there. I went back to sleep and then headed out at 6 A.M. to the address the guy gave me was to a parking lot of an abandon supermarket....So I called this guy and he was like oh thanks for coming so fast...? I will meet you there in a minute...I look across the street and see an old motel in shambles and 2 guys staggering around with a case of Milwalkee's best beer...The finest brew one could want... So I drive over and confront them and turns out it was the guy who has the bike. They said Hey did you bring all the cash...I said yep all 1200...the guy starts yelling at me stating that he never agreed to sell it for 1200....then says well how much more do you have...I said ahhh I have 1200....His brother says hell yeah that will work...UMm K.. I said where is the bike? They said oh well ah follow us as they jumped into their mini van. We drove about 20 minutes into the countryside and then they stopped at a stop sign whipped out a pipe not the whacky tabaci kind but the old rock pipe...They smoked down a rock or 3 and then off we went again....Up the road a piece we pull into a burned down house with a free standing shed. I said where the hell are we?? The brother said the bike is in here..... I wheeled it out and it was like a trip back into time...It was showroom! I kicked it over and it fired right up....I shut it down and checked the papers and handed them the cash! I have never loaded a bike so fast alone in my life. Threw a couple straps and bolted! Got down the road pulled over to gather myself and secure the bike and then never looked back! What a trip! Had to be one of the strangest days of my life! All in good fun and I scored a very nice bike! You just never know!?!?
